The 1894 Morgan silver dollar is a striking piece of late nineteenth-century American coinage. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this specific coin bears no mint mark, which distinguishes it from those produced at branch mints during the same year. It contains 0.7734 troy ounces of silver with a purity of 90 percent, representing the standard circulating silver alloy of the era. This specimen has been certified in About Uncirculated 58 (AU-58) condition. The obverse displays a profile of Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap, decorated with a band that clearly reads "Liberty" amidst her hair. Encircling her portrait are thirteen stars, the year 1894, and the traditional Latin motto "E Pluribus Unum." On the reverse, a bald eagle is depicted with its wings spread, clutching both arrows and an olive branch in its talons. The national motto "In God We Trust" is positioned above the eagle, while the country name "United States of America" and the "One Dollar" denomination frame the central design.
