The 1894 Morgan Dollar represents a fascinating moment in American coining history. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this specific issue is notable for its exceptionally low production run of only 110,000 pieces. Unlike its sister mints, the Philadelphia facility did not place a mint mark on these silver coins, making the absence of a mark beneath the wreath a key identifying feature for explorers of the series. Each coin is composed of 90 percent silver, containing 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal. The obverse design features a profile of Liberty adorned with a Phrygian cap, a classic symbol of freedom.
