The 1895 Morgan silver dollar bearing the 'O' mint mark represents a fascinating moment in late nineteenth-century American coining. Struck at the historic New Orleans Mint, this issue is highly regarded by enthusiasts who study the output of the Southern branch facility. This particular specimen is composed of 90 percent silver, containing 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal. Only 450,000 of these silver dollars were minted in New Orleans for the year 1895.
