1895-S Morgan Dollar MS-61 PCGS

0.7734 troy oz .900 1895 MS-61 (PCGS)

The 1895-S Morgan Dollar represents a classic era of American silver coinage, originating from the San Francisco Mint. Struck with a purity of 0.900 silver, this coin contains 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal. As a representative of a series that circulated for about 80 years, this specific piece has survived in remarkable condition, certified as Mint State 61 (MS-61). On the obverse side, the profile of Liberty is depicted wearing a Phrygian cap. Her hair band is inscribed with the word "Liberty", surrounded by the Latin motto "E Pluribus Unum" and the 1895 date of issue. Thirteen stars are arranged along the border, symbolizing the original American colonies. The reverse displays a bald eagle holding arrows and an olive branch, representing both strength and peace. Above the eagle, the inscription "In God We Trust" is clearly visible, while the phrases "United States of America" and "One Dollar" frame the central design. The "S" mint mark is also present, indicating its origin from the West Coast minting facility.
