The 1896 Morgan silver dollar stands as a remarkable example of late nineteenth-century American coinage. Minted in Philadelphia, this specific coin bears no mint mark, which was the standard practice for the main facility during this era. Struck in 90 percent silver with a precious metal weight of 0.77344 troy ounces, the coin has survived in an impressive state of preservation, earning a certified grade of Mint State 64 (MS-65). On the obverse, a left-facing profile of Liberty is depicted. She wears a traditional Phrygian cap, which features a hair band displaying the word LIBERTY.
