0.7734 troy oz .900 1896 Extra Fine - 45

The 1896 Morgan silver dollar struck at the San Francisco Mint represents a classic era of American coinage. Minted with a composition of 90 percent silver, this piece contains 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal. Out of a total mintage of 5,000,000 pieces, this specific coin has survived the decades to be certified in Extra Fine 45 condition, showing honest wear while retaining its major design details. On the obverse, the profile of Liberty faces left, adorned with a Phrygian cap that bears the word LIBERTY on her hairband. This side is framed by thirteen stars representing the original colonies, the year 1896, and the Latin motto E PLURIBUS UNUM. The reverse displays a proud bald eagle with its wings spread, clutching an olive branch of peace and arrows of strength. Surrounding the eagle are the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the denomination ONE DOLLAR, along with the national motto IN GOD WE TRUST positioned above the eagle's head.
