This silver dollar, minted in 1898, represents a classic era of American coinage. The obverse features a profile of Liberty adorned with a Phrygian cap, which displays the word 'LIBERTY' upon her hair band. Surrounding her portrait are thirteen stars, the year of issue, and the Latin motto 'E PLURIBUS UNUM.' On the reverse, a bald eagle is depicted clutching an olive branch and arrows in its talons. The eagle is framed by the inscriptions 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA' and 'ONE DOLLAR,' along with the national motto 'IN GOD WE TRUST' positioned above the bird.
