The 1898-S Morgan silver dollar stands as a remarkable artifact from the late nineteenth century, struck at the historic San Francisco Mint. Containing 0.7734 troy ounces of silver with a purity of 0.900, this coin is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, allowing modern observers to appreciate its original luster and sharp details just as they appeared over a century ago. On the obverse, the profile of Liberty is depicted wearing a traditional Phrygian cap, which features a band inscribed with the word Liberty. Surrounding this central portrait are thirteen stars representing the original colonies, the year of manufacture (1898), and the classic Latin motto E Pluribus Unum. The reverse side presents a powerful bald eagle clutching both a bundle of arrows and an olive branch in its talons, symbolizing strength and peace. The eagle is framed by the inscriptions United States of America and the denomination One Dollar, while the national motto In God We Trust is positioned directly above the eagle's head. A small S mint mark below the wreath confirms its San Francisco origin.
