Containing 0.7734 troy ounces of pure silver, the coin has been certified at a high grade of AU 58, indicating it survived the decades with only the slightest traces of wear on its highest design elements. On the obverse, the design presents a profile of Liberty adorned with a Phrygian cap. Her hair band is inscribed with the word Liberty, surrounded by thirteen stars representing the original colonies. The traditional Latin motto, E Pluribus Unum, curves along the upper border, while the date 1899 is anchored at the bottom. The reverse side displays a powerful bald eagle with its wings spread, clutching both an olive branch of peace and arrows of strength.
