The 1899-S Morgan Silver Dollar represents a fascinating moment in American coinage, struck at the San Francisco Mint during the final year of the nineteenth century. Above the eagle, the inscription IN GOD WE TRUST is visible, while the surrounding text identifies the issuing nation as the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and states the face value of ONE DOLLAR.
