1900 $20 Liberty Gold Double Eagle MS-62 PCGS

0.9675 troy oz .900 1900 PCGS

In the year 1900, the Philadelphia Mint produced 1,874,460 of these impressive twenty dollar gold coins. Struck from 0.900 fine gold, each piece contains 0.9675 troy ounces of precious metal. This particular specimen survived the decades in excellent condition, now certified in Mint State 62. The front of the coin showcases a left-facing profile of Lady Liberty. Her hair is secured by a pearl-adorned coronet that displays the word LIBERTY. Directly beneath her portrait, the 1900 date of manufacture is clearly inscribed. On the reverse, the design draws inspiration from the Great Seal of the United States. The eagle is surrounded by the country of origin, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, written along the upper rim, while the face value of TWENTY DOLLARS is anchored at the bottom.
