0.9675 troy oz .900 1900 NGC

In 1900, the Philadelphia Mint produced more than 1.8 million of these substantial gold pieces, each containing 0.9675 troy ounces of gold. Struck with a purity of 0.900 gold, this twenty dollar denomination represents a classic era of United States coinage. This particular specimen has survived the decades in remarkable condition, earning a certified grade of Mint State 63 (MS-63). The obverse features a profile of Liberty wearing a coronet inscribed with her name, surrounded by thirteen stars representing the original colonies, with the year 1900 anchored at the bottom. On the reverse, the design showcases a heraldic eagle holding an olive branch and arrows, shielded and draped with a scroll. Above the eagle, the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is encircled by thirteen stars, while the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "TWENTY DOLLARS" frame the outer edge.
