1900 Morgan Dollar MS-64 NGC

0.7734 troy oz .900 1900 MS-64 (NGC)

The turn of the twentieth century brought with it a beautifully preserved piece of American currency. This 1900 silver coin represents the iconic Morgan Dollar design, a series that circulated throughout the United States for about 80 years. Struck with a silver purity of 0.900, the coin contains 0.77344 troy ounces of precious metal and has been certified in Mint State 64 condition, showing off its original luster. On the obverse side, a left-facing profile of Liberty wears a Phrygian cap, which is clearly inscribed with her name. Thirteen stars encircle the portrait, representing the original colonies, alongside the Latin motto meaning "Out of many, one" and the 1900 year of issue. The reverse side displays a powerful bald eagle clutching both a symbol of peace, an olive branch, and symbols of defense, a bundle of arrows. Surrounding the central eagle are the inscriptions declaring the nation of origin, the face value of "One Dollar," and the national motto expressing trust in God.
