This silver dollar from 1900 offers a fascinating look at late nineteenth and early twentieth century American coinage. Minted in New Orleans, as indicated by the O mint mark, this piece represents a series that circulated across the nation for about 80 years. It contains 0.7734 troy ounces of silver with a purity of 0.900, preserved in Extra Fine condition, which allows its detailed artistry to remain highly visible. The front of the coin displays a profile of Liberty adorned with a Phrygian cap. Her hair band is inscribed with the word Liberty, while the outer edge features thirteen stars alongside the traditional Latin motto E Pluribus Unum and the 1900 date. On the back, a bald eagle is depicted grasping arrows and an olive branch. Surrounding the central image are the inscriptions United States of America and One Dollar, with the national motto In God We Trust positioned just above the eagle.
