The 1900 Morgan Silver Dollar represents a classic era of American coinage, struck at the Philadelphia Mint at the turn of the twentieth century. Minted without a mint mark, which is characteristic of Philadelphia issues of this period, each coin contains 0.7734 troy ounces of pure silver within its overall 90 percent silver composition. These specific pieces survive in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, preserving the crisp details of their original manufacture. On the obverse, the design features a profile of Liberty. She wears a Phrygian cap, a traditional symbol of freedom, which is decorated with cotton balls and wheat stalks. The reverse displays a bald eagle with its wings spread wide, grasping an olive branch and a bundle of arrows in its talons, symbolizing both peace and military readiness.
