The 1901-O Morgan Silver Dollar represents a classic era of American coinage, minted at the historic New Orleans facility. Struck from 0.900 fine silver, the coin contains 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal, offering a substantial and tactile connection to early twentieth-century currency. On the obverse, the design presents a profile of Liberty adorned with a Phrygian cap. The word Liberty is inscribed upon her band, surrounded by thirteen stars representing the original colonies. The legendary motto E Pluribus Unum arches above her head, with the 1901 date of issue positioned at the bottom. The reverse side showcases a powerful bald eagle with its wings spread, grasping both an olive branch of peace and arrows of strength. The eagle is framed by the inscriptions United States of America and the denomination, One Dollar.
