In 1902, the Philadelphia Mint produced nearly eight million silver dollars, contributing to one of the most famous eras of American coinage. This particular specimen survives in an exceptional state of preservation, certified at a high-quality Mint State 64. Struck in 90 percent pure silver, the coin contains 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal and measures 38.1 millimeters in diameter with a thickness of 3.1 millimeters. The obverse features a left-facing profile of Lady Liberty, designed by George T. Morgan. Her hair is adorned with a Phrygian cap and a symbolic wreath of cotton and wheat, representing the agricultural heritage of the nation. The word LIBERTY is clearly inscribed upon her hairband. On the reverse, a majestic heraldic eagle is depicted holding both an olive branch and arrows in its talons, symbolizing a desire for peace alongside a readiness for defense. The inscriptions surrounding the central design include the national motto, IN GOD WE TRUST, along with the issuing nation, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, and the face value, ONE DOLLAR.
