Struck at the historic New Orleans Mint, this 1902 Morgan silver dollar represents a classic era of American coinage. Composed of 90 percent silver with a precious metal weight of 0.77344 troy ounces, the coin is preserved in a superb certified state of preservation, graded Mint State 65 (MS-65). The obverse features a left-facing portrait of Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap, her hair band inscribed with the word "Liberty". Encircling her profile are thirteen stars, the year 1902, and the Latin motto "E Pluribus Unum". On the reverse, a bald eagle is depicted clutching both a bundle of arrows and an olive branch, symbols of strength and peace. The reverse design is completed by the inscriptions "United States of America", "One Dollar", and the national motto "In God We Trust". This specific issue bears the "O" mint mark, indicating its origin from the Louisiana facility.
