The 1902 Morgan silver dollar, minted in San Francisco, represents a classic era of United States coinage. Struck with a silver purity of 90 percent, this coin contains 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal. Having achieved a certified grade of About Uncirculated 58 (AU-58), it retains much of its original luster and sharp detail, showing only the slightest traces of wear from its brief time in circulation over a century ago. On the obverse, a left-facing profile of Liberty is adorned with a Phrygian cap, which features a band inscribed with the word "LIBERTY". This side is framed by thirteen stars, the year 1902, and the traditional Latin motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM". The reverse displays a heraldic bald eagle with its wings spread, grasping both an olive branch of peace and a cluster of arrows symbolizing strength. The eagle is encircled by the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "ONE DOLLAR". Positioned above the eagle is the national motto, "IN GOD WE TRUST", while the "S" mint mark rests below the wreath, identifying this coin as a product of the historic San Francisco Mint.
