Struck at the San Francisco Mint at the start of the twentieth century, this 1902 Morgan silver dollar represents a classic era of American coinage. The coin contains 0.7734 troy ounces of pure silver, with a total mintage of 1,530,000 pieces. This specific specimen survives in Almost Uncirculated condition, preserving the intricate details of its original engraving. The obverse features a left-facing profile of Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap, with her hair band displaying her name. Surrounding her portrait are thirteen stars, the year 1902, and the Latin motto "E Pluribus Unum". On the reverse, a bald eagle holds a bundle of arrows and an olive branch.
