0.7734 troy oz .900 1902 Brilliant Unc

Struck at the San Francisco Mint at the turn of the twentieth century, this 1902 silver dollar represents a design that circulated as everyday American currency for nearly eight decades. Composed of 0.7734 ounces of silver with a purity of 0.900, the coin survives today in brilliant uncirculated condition, offering a remarkably clear look at the artistry of its era. The obverse features a profile of Liberty adorned with a Phrygian cap. This central figure is encircled by thirteen small stars alongside the traditional Latin motto E Pluribus Unum and the 1902 year of issue. The word Liberty is also inscribed upon her band. On the reverse, a bald eagle holds a bundle of arrows and an olive branch in its talons. Surrounding this central motif are the inscriptions United States of America and the denomination One Dollar. Above the eagle, the phrase In God We Trust is visible, while the S mint mark below the wreath designates its origin from the San Francisco facility.
