This silver dollar, minted in San Francisco during the year 1902, represents a classic era of American coinage. Struck with a purity of 90 percent silver, the coin contains 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal. It has survived the decades in remarkable condition, earning a certified grade of Mint State 63 (MS-63) for its outstanding preservation and original luster. The obverse side displays a left-facing portrait of Liberty, who wears a Phrygian cap adorned with a band reading the word Liberty. Surrounding this central figure are thirteen stars, the year of manufacture, and the Latin phrase E Pluribus Unum. On the reverse, a bald eagle is depicted holding both an olive branch and a cluster of arrows in its talons. The inscriptions on this side include United States of America, the denomination of One Dollar, and the national motto, In God We Trust. The San Francisco origin is marked by the letter S, located near the bottom of the reverse design.
