1903 Morgan Dollar BU

0.7734 troy oz .900 1903 Brilliant Unc

The 1903 Morgan Silver Dollar represents a classic era of United States coinage. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this issue bears no mint mark, distinguishing it from those produced at branch mints. The coin is composed of 90 percent silver, containing 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal. As a series, these silver dollars circulated actively in American commerce for about 80 years. On the obverse, a left-facing portrait of Liberty is depicted wearing a Phrygian cap. The design is encircled by thirteen stars representing the original colonies, the date 1903, and the traditional Latin motto E Pluribus Unum. The word Liberty is also visible on her hairband. The reverse features a bald eagle with its wings spread, grasping arrows and an olive branch in its talons. Surrounding the eagle are the inscriptions United States of America and One Dollar, along with the national motto, In God We Trust, positioned directly above the eagle's head.
