0.9675 troy oz .900 1904 NGC

In 1904, the Philadelphia Mint produced a major run of twenty-dollar gold coins, striking over six million pieces. These substantial coins were minted from 90 percent pure gold, containing nearly a full troy ounce of the precious metal (0.9675 troy ounces). Because they were struck at the main Philadelphia facility, they bear no mint mark, representing the classic standard of American gold coinage from the turn of the twentieth century. The obverse features the left-facing profile of Liberty, her hair secured by a coronet inscribed with her name. On the reverse, a grand heraldic eagle guards a shield, surrounded by the country's name and the denomination. This specific specimen has survived the decades in remarkable condition, earning a certified grade of Mint State 63 (MS-63), which highlights its strong luster and well-preserved design details.
