The 1904 Indian Head Cent offers a fascinating glimpse into early twentieth century American coinage. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this coin is composed of a traditional alloy containing 95 percent copper, with the remaining 5 percent consisting of tin and zinc. Preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, it retains its original design details with a distinct brown copper luster. On the obverse side, the profile features a representation of Liberty adorned in a traditional feather headdress, with the word LIBERTY clearly inscribed across the band. Surrounding this central figure are the words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, with the year 1904 anchored at the bottom. The reverse of the coin displays the denomination ONE CENT positioned directly in the center, framed by an elegant wreath. At the top of the wreath sits a small shield, while a bundle of arrows tied together with a ribbon bow rests at the base, completing this historic and beautifully balanced design.
