The 1904 Morgan Silver Dollar occupies a unique position in American numismatic history. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this issue represents the final year of production for the beloved series before a seventeen year hiatus that lasted until 1921. The obverse features a left-facing portrait of Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap, which is adorned with a hair band displaying her name. This side is framed by thirteen stars, the year 1904, and the traditional motto "E Pluribus Unum". The eagle is encircled by the inscriptions "United States of America", "One Dollar", and the phrase "In God We Trust".
