0.7734 troy oz .900 1904 Almost Unc

The 1904 Morgan Silver Dollar occupies a unique position in American numismatic history. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this issue represents the final year of production for the beloved series before a seventeen year hiatus that lasted until 1921. With a mintage of 2,788,000, each coin contains 0.7734 troy ounces of 90 percent pure silver. The obverse features a left-facing portrait of Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap, which is adorned with a hair band displaying her name. This side is framed by thirteen stars, the year 1904, and the traditional motto "E Pluribus Unum". On the reverse, a powerful bald eagle holds an olive branch and a bundle of arrows, symbolizing both peace and defense. The eagle is encircled by the inscriptions "United States of America", "One Dollar", and the phrase "In God We Trust". This specific coin is preserved in Almost Uncirculated condition, capturing the intricate details of a classic design just as the original era of Morgan dollar production drew to a close.
