Struck at the Philadelphia mint, this 1904 Morgan silver dollar is a remarkable survivor from the early twentieth century. Because it was minted in Philadelphia, the coin does not carry a mint mark, distinguishing it from those produced at branch facilities. It contains 0.77344 troy ounces of silver, with a purity of 90 percent, representing the standard composition of circulating silver coinage from this era. The obverse side presents a left-facing profile of Liberty. She wears a Phrygian cap adorned with a band inscribed with the word "Liberty." Encircling her portrait are thirteen stars, the national motto "E Pluribus Unum," and the 1904 year of issue. This certified coin has been graded Mint State 62 (MS-62), preserving the details of this iconic engraving. On the reverse, a bald eagle is depicted holding arrows and an olive branch in its talons. The eagle is framed by the inscriptions "United States of America" and "One Dollar," with the motto "In God We Trust" positioned directly above the bird.
