The 1904 Morgan Silver Dollar represents a significant moment in American numismatic history, belonging to a legendary series of silver coins that circulated as everyday currency for nearly eight decades. Minted at the turn of the twentieth century, this specific coin contains 0.7734 troy ounces of 90 percent pure silver and has survived the decades in remarkable condition, certified by professional graders as Mint State 62. On the obverse side, a left-facing portrait of Liberty is depicted wearing a Phrygian cap, a traditional symbol of freedom, with the word "Liberty" inscribed upon her hair band. The year 1904 is struck clearly at the bottom of the profile. The reverse displays a powerful bald eagle clutching both an olive branch of peace and a bundle of arrows, representing strength. The national motto "In God We Trust" is inscribed above the eagle, surrounded by the country's name and the "One Dollar" denomination. Because there is no mint mark present on the reverse, this coin was struck at the main United States Mint in Philadelphia.
