This 1904 Morgan silver dollar, minted in New Orleans, stands as a classic example of United States coinage from the turn of the twentieth century. Struck in 90 percent pure silver, the coin contains 0.77344 troy ounces of precious metal. It has been officially graded as Mint State 63 (MS-63), indicating a well-preserved specimen that retains its original luster and sharp details. The obverse side presents a left-facing portrait of Liberty. She wears a traditional Phrygian cap, adorned with a band inscribed with the word "Liberty". Surrounding her likeness are thirteen stars, the year of issue 1904, and the Latin motto "E Pluribus Unum". On the reverse, a bald eagle is depicted with its wings spread, clutching a bundle of arrows and an olive branch in its talons. The reverse inscriptions include "United States of America", the denomination "One Dollar", and the phrase "In God We Trust". As a sovereign coin, its weight and purity are fully backed by the United States government.
