The 1904-S Morgan Dollar represents a fascinating moment in American coinage, minted at the San Francisco facility before the long pause in the series. This particular specimen is preserved in Almost Good condition, showing the honest wear of a coin that likely circulated heavily during the early twentieth century. Composed of 90 percent silver, it contains 0.7734 troy ounces of the precious metal. On the obverse, the profile of Liberty is visible wearing her classic Phrygian cap, which features a band inscribed with her name. Thirteen stars encircle the lower border, representing the original colonies, alongside the classic Latin motto "E Pluribus Unum" and the 1904 date of issue. The reverse side of the coin displays a bald eagle with its wings spread, grasping an olive branch of peace and arrows of strength in its talons. Surrounding the eagle are the inscriptions "United States of America" and the denomination "One Dollar." The national motto "In God We Trust" is positioned above the eagle, while the "S" mint mark below the wreath identifies this dollar as a product of the historic San Francisco Mint.
