0.7734 troy oz .900 1904 Extra Fine

Struck in the early twentieth century, this 1904 Morgan dollar represents a classic era of American silver coinage. Minted in San Francisco, this coin contains 0.7734 troy ounces of actual silver content within its 90 percent pure composition. Out of a total mintage of 2,304,000 pieces, each coin represents a design series that remained a staple of American commerce for about 80 years. The obverse displays a profile of Liberty adorned with a Phrygian cap, her hair band inscribed with the word Liberty. This side is framed by thirteen stars, the year 1904, and the traditional Latin motto E Pluribus Unum. On the reverse, a bald eagle holds both arrows and an olive branch, symbolizing strength and peace. The eagle is surrounded by the inscriptions United States of America, One Dollar, and the motto In God We Trust, alongside the S mint mark indicating its origin at the San Francisco Mint.
