1907 $10 Indian Gold Eagle MS-63 NGC

0.4838 troy oz .900 1907 NGC

Struck at the Philadelphia mint, this ten-dollar gold piece from 1907 showcases a striking departure from traditional American coinage imagery. The obverse presents a profile of Lady Liberty adorned with an indigenous war bonnet, a creative choice that frames her face with feathers. Thirteen stars encircle this central figure, representing the original colonies, while the word Liberty is clearly inscribed upon her hair band and the year 1907 is positioned at the bottom. The reverse of the coin features a powerful bald eagle standing proudly. Surrounding the national bird are the inscriptions United States of America, the traditional motto E Pluribus Unum, and the ten-dollar denomination. Adding to its unique physical characteristics, the edge of this coin is decorated with raised stars rather than standard reeding. Each of these historic pieces is composed of 0.900 fine gold, containing 0.4838 troy ounces of precious metal, and has been certified in Mint State 63 condition.
