The year 1907 marked the final chapter for one of America's most enduring gold designs. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this twenty dollar denomination represents the culmination of the Liberty Double Eagle series, which had circulated through decades of American economic growth. This particular specimen has survived in remarkable condition, certified by professional graders as Mint State 61. Crafted from 0.900 fine gold, the coin contains nearly a full troy ounce of precious metal, specifically 0.9675 ounces. Because it was produced at the main Philadelphia facility, it features no mint mark, distinguishing it from those struck at branch mints. Out of a total mintage of 1,451,786 pieces for this issue, very few remain in such a well-preserved, uncirculated state. The coin's design features classic American imagery and traditional inscriptions. On the surfaces, one can observe the national mottoes and identification, including "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "IN GOD WE TRUST", alongside the face value of "TWENTY DOLLARS" and the historic date of 1907.
