1908-1909 Denmark Gold 10 Kroner Frederik VIII BU

0.1296 OZT .900 Brilliant Unc

Struck only during the brief window of 1908 to 1909, this Danish gold coin represents a fascinating moment in Scandinavian numismatic history. Minted in Copenhagen by the Danish Royal Mint, the piece is composed of 90 percent pure gold, containing approximately 0.1288 ounces of precious metal. Its preservation in Brilliant Uncirculated condition allows the fine details of its classical design to remain remarkably sharp. On the obverse, the coin displays the left facing portrait of King Frederik VIII of Denmark. The reverse features the crowned and mantled Danish coat of arms, situated gracefully above the year of issue and the denomination of 10 Kroner. This side also displays the initials VBP, representing the designer Vilhelm Buchard Poulsen, alongside the heart mint mark of the Copenhagen mint.
