In the final year of King Edward VII's reign, the Royal Canadian Mint produced this striking copper large cent. This specific coin survives in About Uncirculated condition, meaning it retains much of its original detail and luster from over a century ago, showing only the slightest traces of wear from its brief time in circulation. The obverse of the coin displays a right-facing portrait of King Edward VII, surrounded by the Latin inscription denoting his royal title. On the reverse, the denomination and the 1910 date are nestled in the center, framed by a continuous, delicate vine of leaves that encircles the rim. Cataloged as KM-8, this issue represents a classic era of Canadian decimal coinage before the physical size of the one-cent piece was permanently reduced.
