1910-D $20 St Gaudens Gold Double Eagle MS-63 PCGS

0.9675 troy oz .900 1910 PCGS

In 1910, the Denver Mint produced a spectacular gold coin that remains a high point of American numismatic art. This twenty dollar denomination, struck from 0.900 fine gold, contains 0.9675 troy ounces of precious metal. It represents a classic era of United States coinage, part of a series minted from 1907 to 1933. The obverse of the coin presents a powerful depiction of Lady Liberty, capturing a sense of forward motion and optimism. On the reverse, a magnificent bald eagle is shown in mid-flight, soaring across the design. Augustus Saint-Gaudens created this iconic artwork, blending classical strength with American themes. Legible inscriptions on the coin include the country of origin, "United States of America", and the face value, "Twenty Dollars". The traditional motto "In God We Trust" is also featured on the design, alongside the clear date of 1910.
