1911-1933 Netherlands Gold 10 Guilders Wilhelmina I BU (Random)

0.1947 troy oz .900 1911-1933 Brilliant Unc

Struck at the Dutch Royal Mint located in Utrecht, this gold coin represents a fascinating era of European currency. From 1911 to 1933, these ten-guilder pieces were produced with a metal purity of 90 percent gold, containing 0.1947 troy ounces of the precious metal. The guilder itself served as the official monetary unit of the Netherlands for generations, eventually being replaced in 2002. The design showcases a right-facing portrait of Queen Wilhelmina on the obverse, depicted with a bare head. On the reverse side, the coin displays the crowned royal shield of the Netherlands alongside the face value of 10 Guilders. Each of these specimens survives in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, preserving the sharp details of the engraving just as they emerged from the Utrecht mint over nine decades ago.
