In 1911, the Denver Mint produced a twenty-dollar gold piece that stands as a testament to classic American coinage design. The obverse of the coin showcases a powerful depiction of Lady Liberty. She is shown mid-stride, holding a lit torch in one hand to light her path and an olive branch in the other. The year 1911 is clearly visible on this side, marking its place in the era of pre-1933 gold issues. On the reverse, a majestic bald eagle is captured in mid-flight, soaring across the design. This side features the prominent inscriptions of the issuing nation, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, alongside the face value of TWENTY DOLLARS.
