The 1914 five-cent piece struck at the Denver Mint stands as a classic representative of early twentieth-century American coinage. Crafted by sculptor James Earle Fraser, this issue from the beloved Indian Head series showcases a highly detailed profile of a Native American on its obverse. The word LIBERTY is inscribed along the upper right edge, with the year 1914 clearly visible at the base of the portrait. On the reverse, a majestic bison stands atop a raised mound of earth.
