The 1915 five-cent piece struck at the Denver Mint offers a tangible connection to early twentieth-century American coinage design. This issue, belonging to the celebrated Buffalo Nickel series, is composed of base metal rather than precious silver or gold. Despite showing honest wear that places it in Good condition, the coin still reveals the essential elements of its famous artistry. On the obverse, the profile of a Native American chief faces right, capturing a dignified and powerful portrait. The reverse displays a massive American bison standing atop a raised mound of earth. Just below this mound, the denomination is spelled out as FIVE CENTS, while the Denver Mint is represented by the letter D positioned beneath the inscription.
