0.3575 troy oz .900 1919 Very Good

Struck at the Denver Mint in 1919, this United States half dollar represents a classic era of American silver coinage. Composed of 90 percent silver, the coin contains 0.3575 troy ounces of precious metal. It survives today in Very Good condition, showing the honest wear of a coin that circulated actively during the early twentieth century. The obverse side, created by designer Adolph Weinman, features Lady Liberty moving gracefully toward a rising sun. She carries a bundle of branches in her arm, symbolizing strength and growth, while the words "IN GOD WE TRUST" appear in the field behind her. On the reverse, a powerful eagle is depicted perched upon a rugged rock, wings partially spread as if preparing to take flight. The inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "HALF DOLLAR" frame this majestic wildlife scene, alongside the traditional motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM."
