1920-D Walking Liberty Half Dollar Good

0.3575 troy oz .900 1920 Good

The 1920 Walking Liberty half dollar represents a classic era of United States silver coinage. Struck at the Denver Mint, this fifty-cent piece is composed of 90% silver, containing 0.3575 troy ounces of the precious metal. Even in a worn, Good condition, the fundamental elements of this celebrated design remain visible, carrying the history of early twentieth-century American coinage. Created by the artist Adolph Weinman, the obverse of the coin presents Lady Liberty in stride, moving gracefully toward a rising sun while cradling a bundle of branches in her arm. The reverse displays a powerful eagle perched upon a rugged stone outcrop, its wings slightly spread as if preparing to launch into the sky. The inscriptions traditionally associated with this series include the national motto, "In God We Trust," alongside "United States of America," "E Pluribus Unum," and the face value, "Half Dollar."
