0.3575 troy oz .900 1920 Very Good - 10 (PCGS)

The 1920-D Walking Liberty half dollar represents a classic era of United States coinage. Struck at the Denver Mint, this fifty-cent piece is composed of 90% silver, containing 0.3575 troy ounces of the precious metal. This particular specimen has survived the decades with a grade of Very Good 10, showing honest wear from its time in active circulation during the early twentieth century. Designed by the celebrated sculptor Adolph Weinman, the coin features a powerful obverse design. Lady Liberty is depicted walking gracefully toward a rising sun, cradling a bundle of branches in her arm. The legendary motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is visible on the obverse, alongside the date of 1920. On the reverse, Weinman created a bold depiction of an eagle. The majestic bird is shown perched upon a rugged rock formation, wings slightly spread as if preparing to take flight. The reverse inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," the traditional motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and the denomination "HALF DOLLAR."
