1920 Walking Liberty Half Dollar AU

Struck in 1920, this half dollar represents a classic era of United States coinage. Crafted from 90% silver, the coin contains 0.3575 troy ounces of precious metal. It is preserved in Almost Uncirculated condition, showing only minor signs of wear from its brief time in circulation more than a century ago. The obverse features a dynamic depiction of Lady Liberty moving gracefully toward a rising sun while cradling a bundle of branches in her arm. This side of the coin bears the inscription of the year 1920 and the traditional motto, IN GOD WE TRUST. On the reverse, a powerful eagle is shown perched on a rocky outcrop, wings partially spread as if preparing to take flight. The design includes the Latin motto E PLURIBUS UNUM and states the face value as HALF DOLLAR. This memorable combination of imagery was created by the noted artist Adolph Weinman.
