The 1921-D Morgan Silver Dollar represents a unique moment in American numismatic history. While the Morgan series ran for decades, the year 1921 was the very first and only time these iconic coins were struck at the Denver Mint. This particular specimen is certified in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, graded at Mint State 60 (MS-60), preserving the original luster and crisp details from a mintage of 20,345,000 pieces. On the obverse, a left-facing portrait of Liberty is depicted wearing a Phrygian cap, which is inscribed with the word "Liberty". The portrait is encircled by the traditional Latin motto "E Pluribus Unum", thirteen stars representing the original colonies, and the 1921 date of issue. Composed of 90 percent silver, the coin contains 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal. The reverse displays a powerful bald eagle with its wings spread, grasping an olive branch of peace and a bundle of arrows symbolizing strength. Surrounding the eagle are the inscriptions "United States of America", the denomination "One Dollar", and the motto "In God We Trust".
