In 1921, a special silver half dollar was struck to mark the centennial of Missouri's entry into the Union. This commemorative coin, containing 0.3617 ounces of silver, was produced in a very limited run of just 10,428 pieces, making it a fascinating subject for study due to its scarcity and historical theme.
