1921 Peace Dollar AU-50 PCGS

0.7730 troy oz .900 1921 Almost Unc - 50 (PCGS)

The 1921 Peace Dollar represents the very beginning of a beloved American silver series. Struck in 0.7730 troy ounces of 90% silver, this inaugural issue is highly regarded for its distinct high-relief design, which was modified in subsequent years of production. The Philadelphia Mint produced just over one million of these coins in 1921, and because they do not carry a mint mark, their origin is identified solely by their clean, unmarked surfaces. This particular specimen has been certified in Almost Uncirculated 50 (AU-50) condition, preserving the intricate details of its original engraving. The obverse features the word LIBERTY alongside the motto IN GOD WE TRUST, while the reverse displays a perched eagle looking toward the dawn with the word PEACE inscribed below it. The denomination is clearly marked as ONE DOLLAR, surrounded by the traditional inscription UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM.
