1922-1925 Peace Silver Dollar BU - w/Map Card

In the years following the First World War, the United States Mint introduced a new silver dollar designed to reflect a national desire for global harmony. Issued between 1921 and 1928, and again from 1934 to 1935, this series represents the final silver dollar minted for circulation in the country. Each of these pieces contains 0.7734 troy ounces of 90 percent pure silver, preserved in brilliant uncirculated condition. Created by sculptor Anthony de Francisci, the coin features a left-facing portrait of Lady Liberty on its obverse. Her crown of radiating light beams draws inspiration from the Statue of Liberty. On the reverse, a bald eagle sits quietly on a rocky perch, holding an olive branch to symbolize the peaceful era following the Great War. This combination of classic American symbols captures a unique moment of optimism in twentieth-century history.
