1922-1935 Peace Silver Dollar BU - w/Snowy Village Card
Struck in 0.900 fine silver, this coin represents the final era of circulating silver dollars in the United States. Minted between 1921 and 1928, and again from 1934 to 1935, the series captures a unique moment in American history. Each coin contains 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal and is preserved in brilliant uncirculated condition. The obverse features a left-facing profile of Lady Liberty wearing a crown of radiant light beams, a design envisioned by Anthony de Francisci that drew inspiration from the Statue of Liberty. The inscription IN GOD WE TRUST is rendered with a classic stylistic spelling, using a V in place of the U in TRUST. On the reverse, a bald eagle is depicted standing atop a mountain crag, holding an olive branch in its talons. This imagery was chosen specifically to symbolize peace, giving the coin its famous name.
