0.0933 troy oz .900 1922 Brilliant Unc

Struck at the Bern Mint in 1922, this Swiss gold coin represents a fascinating era of European coinage. Crafted from 0.900 fine gold, it contains 0.0933 troy ounces of precious metal. A total of 1,020,000 of these pieces were minted, making it a notable survivor of early twentieth-century Swiss currency. The obverse features a striking allegorical female figure who embodies the nation of Switzerland. Created by Fritz Landry, this design is accompanied by the inscription HELVETIA. The artist's name, F. LANDRY, is also subtly visible on the face of the coin. On the reverse, the traditional Swiss shield is displayed, framed beautifully by a wreath of oak leaves. This side also clearly shows the denomination of 10 FR, the year 1922, and the 'B' mint mark indicating its origin in Bern. Cataloged as KM#36, this Brilliant Uncirculated coin offers a window into the artistic and monetary standards of Switzerland during the interwar period.
